John Crummey Buck 'n Ball

John Crummey Buck 'n Ball
This Buck n' Ball shotgun was made in the Harrisonburg area of Virginia by gunsmith John Crummey.
It has an octagonal barrel stamped with J. Crummey, nice engraving on the the lock plate and is a single trigger, percussion model.

This weapon has some obvious condition issues, but is the only known example of a buck n ball shotgun produced in the Shenandoah Vallley during this time period. The rail has become detached from the barrel and there is some very slight shrinkage of the wood stock.

Due to the age of the firearm and it's rarity, we recommend it not be fired. The rail can be reattached by a professional gunsmith who could also inspect the barrel for safety should you choose to fire it.

Shipping insurance is highly recommended.
